Gender Roles In An Age of Confusion
Why can't women imitate
our Blessed Mother?
by Robert Frederico
Here is how I see this problem with role confusion. Our God is not the author of confusion. Yet we do
know who that other author is. Jesus ordained and chose men to continue the priesthood. He has
chosen men to continue the Apostolic sucession. The Bible says that there is a difference between
men and women and that we should respect and honor each other. Jesus says he is one with the
Father. Not one with the Mother.
The point here is that Father is given to certain duties and resposibilities. In the same manner, Mother
calls for specific dutiesand responsibilities as well. Are we going to call God The Father, God The
Mother? I know I'm not getting caught up in new/old age cult. Why don't these so-called women
"priests" desire to imitate our Blessed Mother Mary? Their ordination is invalid, as is their attempt at
confecting the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus.
Our Mother Mary is an integral part of human salvation, and seated with the Holy Trinity in heaven. Of
course women should imitate Jesus but, in the ways he has commanded.
My concern is really for their following or so-called "flock" of these so-called "priests." Are their followers
naive enough to want to play Russian Roulette with their souls and the souls of others? Read On....

Let me first make it understood, that I am not making excuses for Mel Gibson's irresponsibility of drinking
and driving while intoxicated. Like each of us, we have a fallen nature that slips from time to time. However,
Mel should control his frustration and what comes out of his mouth. Enough said.
I really want to know is why the media holds so much deep hatred towards Mel Gibson. Could it be that Mel
is a little bitter at the movie industry? And could it be that the movie industry just so happens to be mostly
owned and operated by Jewish businessmen?
There is no doubt in my mind that Hollywood is still suffering shell shock over Mel Gibson's blockbuster hit
The Passion of The Christ . With all the odds stacked up against Mel and his monumental production, I
believe there is much bitterness coming from the other side of the fence. Lets face it Mel has succeeded in
bringing Jesus Christ to more people around the world in a few months than all of the movies about Jesus
combined, throughout cinematic history! And the results are ongoing! Read On...
God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the Name which is above every
name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven, and on earth and
under the earth, and every tongue confess no other name under heaven given among
men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of
God the Father"
-Philippians 2:9-10
There is salvation in no one else.
Have we all at one time or another used the sacred name of Jesus in vein and really felt
true sorrow?
I can only speak of myself as catching myself in the act of using his Holy name and then
bringing into awareness the sacredness and power given to our Lord Jesus Christ and
the reverence of his divine name. For it is through Jesus Christ alone that our salvation
rests.
Our salvation is in the Name of Jesus Christ, Who died for our sins and rose from the
dead to give us a share in His divine Life! Praised be His Holy Name!
This is why the Church has long promoted devotion to the Most Holy Name of JESUS,
and encourages her children to pray that Name often, invoking our God and Savior with
His Name Above All Names.
Here are more names given to us from the New Testament of the name of our Lord and
Savior.
God, Prophet, Lord, Son of Man, Son of God, King of the Jews, Lamb of God,
Rabbi/Rabboni, Son of David, Apostle, Paraclete, Mediator, High Priest, Logos,
Emanuel, Son of the Most High God, Teacher, Logos, among others.
Should we not be uttering constantly these short ejaculations with love and reverance?
Jesus, I love You!", "Praise You, Jesus", and of course, Jesus, Son of God, have mercy
on me, A portion of the Jesus Prayer?
"Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in Vein." should be a frequent
reminder that this is breaking one of God's commandments and is a serious mortal sin
that places our souls in danger of everlasting punishment and closes off all graces from
God.
If we are to store up graces in heaven where neither rust nor moth decay nor thief
break in and steal, then using God's name in vein will certainly not be meritorious but
blasphemous.
Shall we all, I included, make a New Year's resolution to never allow the Holy name of
Jesus be said in vein? Instead, let us utter it with praise, thanksgiving, honor, reverence
and trembling?
I know that is my New Year's resolution.
"Jesus I Trust In You!"
May the sacred name of Jesus be your strength, protection and salvation.
God's blessings on all.

The Holy Name of Jesus
This story touched my heart as this was my first Christmas without my beloved Mom who
went home to be with the Lord on November 7, 2006.
As I visited her in the nursing home, I could see the loneliness in the people there who no
longer had a reason to celebrate Christmas. Somehow the Christmas spirit had dimmed.
Here is a story that I hope will touch your hearts...
The old man sat in his gas station on a cold Christmas Eve. He hadn't been anywhere in
years since his wife had passed away. It was just another day to him. He didn't hate
Christmas, just couldn't find a reason to celebrate.
He was sitting there looking at the snow that had been falling for the last hour and
wondering what it was all about when the door opened and a homeless man stepped
through. Instead of throwing the man out, Old George as he was known by his customers,
told the man to come and sit by the heater and warm up.
Thank you, but I don't mean to intrude," said the stranger. "I see you're busy, I'll just go."
"Not without something hot in your belly." George said. He turned and opened a wide
mouth Thermos and handed it to the stranger. "It ain't much, but it's hot and tasty, "Stew
... made it myself. When you're done, there's coffee and it's fresh."
Just at that moment he heard the "ding" of the driveway bell. "Excuse me, be right back,"
George said. There in the driveway was an old '53 Chevy. Steam was rolling out of the
front. The driver was panicked. "Mister can you help me!" said the driver, with a deep
Spanish accent. "My wife is with child and my car is broken."
George opened the hood. It was bad. The block looked cracked from the cold, the car
was dead. "You ain't going in this thing," George said as he turned away. "But Mister,
please help ..." The door of the office closed behind George as he went inside. He went
to the office wall and got the keys to his old truck, and went back outside. He walked
around the building, opened the garage, started the truck and drove it around to where
the couple was waiting. "Here, take my truck," he said. "She ain't the best thing you ever
looked at, but she runs real good." continued..
